CCOPAB formalized partnership with civilian academic institutions
On 28 June, the 1st Army Division signed Memoranda of Understanding with Igarapé Institute, the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and the University of Sao Paulo.
The partnerships were signed by Lieutenant General Ramos (1st Army Division Commander), Colonel Ramires (CCOPAB Commander), Lieutenant Colonel Cavalcanti (CCOPAB Doctrine Assessor), representing the Brazilian Army; Professor Gustavo Macedo, representing the University of Sao Paulo; Professor Renata Giannini, representing Igarapé Institute and Professor Maíra Siman, representing the Institute of International Relations of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.
This partnership will provide greater visibility for the Brazilian experience acquired in the preparation and employment of the contingents and individuals deployed to peace missions. Also, it will strengthen the relationship with the academic institutions and the Brazilian Army.
