CCOPAB carries out the preparation of Subunit Commanders and Platoon Leaders of the 24th Brazilian Contingent
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - From February 15 to 26, CCOPAB carried out the Subunit Commanders and Platoon Leaders Course (EPCOSUPEL, acronym in Portuguese) in order to prepare the 24th Contingent to be deployed to the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti.
The goal of the course is to enable captains and lieutenants to carry out functions as Subunit Commanders and Platoon Leaders of the Brazilian Battalion (BRABAT), Brazilian Engineering Company (BRAENGCOY) and Brazilian Marines Company (BRAMAR).
During the 2-week preparation, the course addressed theoritical subjects related to the UN standardized training modules and procedures used in Haiti. The military personnel could practice combat shooting, the use of non-lethal weapons, combat techniques in urban areas and first aid, among others.
Twelve Navy personnel and forty-one Army personnel concluded the course.
