EPCOEM starts at CCOPAB
On February 01, in the facilities of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), Sergio Vieira de Mello Center, there was the beginning of the Unit Commanders and Joint Staff Course (EPCOEM, acronym in Portuguese). The commander, deputy commander and staff officers from the Brazilian Battalion, Brazilian Engineering Company and Brazilian Marines were present at the event.
They will have preliminary instructions, according to the Weekly Schedule, to level knowledge and also as preliminary study. The officers aforementioned will also get to know exercises to be conducted during the UN Pre-deployment Basic Field Exercise (EBOP, acronym in Portuguese) and the UN Pre-deployment Advanced Field Exercise (EAOP, acronym in Portuguese). The course, which lasts a week, will train the officers through lectures and videoconferences, carried out by officers who are at the mission or who have recently arrived from, and by having invitees who work at institutions that support, know or interact with the mission or with the area where it takes place.
