CCOPAB prepares Squad Leaders for BRABAT XXIII

 Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - From 17 to 21 August, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) carried out the course for Squad Leaders of the Brazilian Contingent XXIII to be deployed in the UN Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), in the facilities of the 18th Motorized Infantry Battalion, Sapucaia do Sul-RS.

The course offered a number of classes about the UN core pre-deployment training material (CPTM), typical security tasks, CIMIC, protection of civilians, leadership in small fractions, and other practical classes as checkpoint and combat shooting.

The course is seen as a great leap for the improvement of the battalion preparation, training squad leaders to train their subordinates afterwards.
