Visiting Sergio Vieira de Mello Cultural Facility
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - On the morning of 12 March, the Assistant Secretary of Mairiporã for institutional relations, Mr. Cleriston Valle, the Special Projects Assistant, Mr. Eduardo Luz, the Secretary for Tourism, Mr. Fernando Rachas Ribeiro and the Music Producer, Mr, Celso Diniz, accompanied by Col Pedro Aurélio de Pessôa, former CCOPAB commander (2009-2011), visited Sergio Vieira de Mello Cultural Facility. The Cultural Facility is an area belonging to the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) which focus on the cultural development of the military compound (the guarrison). The following exhibitions can be visited: "Rondon - the Marshal of Peace", "Sports, Development and Peace" and "Peace Missions." Visitors were guided by Memória Civelli, the exhibition curator, which showed rare photos and objects that once belonged to the Marshal, models, scenarios, and even a telegraphic demonstration.
