End of the 2014 Humanitarian Demining course

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - On the morning of 28 November, the Humanitarian Demining Course for Officers and NCOs ended at the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB).
The objective of the course is to improve the professional capacity of military personnel to work as international supervisor and monitor in humanitarian demining missions under the aegis of international organizations.

Lasting for three weeks, the course had guest instructors from the Brazilian Army and the Brazilian Navy; all of them with previous experience in humanitarian demining missions under the aegis of the United Nations and of the Organization of American States.

Sixteen students completed the course successfully: 03 foreigners (01 Captain and 01 NCO from Peru and 01 Lieutenant from Chile) and 13 Brazilians (11 from the Army and 02 from the Navy).
