CCOPAB carries out Workshop on Protection of Civilians for the IBSA Working Group

Itaipava (RJ) – The Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center is promoting the UN Training Workshop on Protection of Civilians to celebrate the 6th India-Brazil-South Africa (IBSA) Joint Working Group Meeting from July 21 to 25.

The opening of the works was carried out by Lieutenant General Álvaro Gonçalves Wanderley, from the Ministry of Defense, who gave a speech to an audience made up of 08 (eight) officers from South Africa, 02 (two) from India and 11 (eleven) from Brazil.

Afterwards, Colonel José Ricardo Vendramin Nunes, CCOPAB Commander, talked about the UN Protection of Civilians, from the perspective of the Department of Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO).
