CCOPAB celebrates its 4th Anniversary

In the morning of June 9, having the presence of Major General Henrique Martins Nolasco Sobrinho, commander of School Support Group/9th Motorized Infantry Brigade, and of several other unit commanders of Vila Militar, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), carried out the ceremony of its 4th Anniversary of Creation.
General Nolasco, addressing CCOPAB members, highlighted the excellence of the courses. Afterwards, he handed out the trophies to the winning teams of the 1st Integration Tournament - internal sports competition carried out on June 4, 5 and 6 to celebrate CCOPAB's anniversary. Several of its members took part in the following sports disciplines: 5 x 400 m relay, futsal, simulated shooting and tug-of-war.

Colonel José Ricardo Vendramin Nunes, CCOPAB commander, handed out the Bronze Military Medals to an officer and to three sergeants for having completed 10 years of good service in the Army.
CCOPAB was created on June 15, 2010, through Ordinance nr 952 of the Ministry of Defense, in which its mission is to support and prepare military, police and civilian personnel from Brazil and friendly nations for peace missions and humanitarian demining missions. At CCOPAB, there are members from the three Armed Forces - Navy, Army and Air Force and, sometimes, from the Auxiliary Forces and friendly nations.
Having the philosophy of integrating the forces and multiplying knowledge, CCOPAB hopes to contribute to the world peace, aligning with the guidelines of the Brazilian Foreign Policy.
