Joining ceremony of the 2014 Variable Contingent

On March 07, 2014, there was the joining ceremony of the 2014 Variable Contingent. The 40 new soldiers from Rio and surrounding cities will do mandatory military service. The 1st Army Division Commander addressed a few words to the new soldiers and their families. The Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center's Commander was also present.

After the ceremony, the guests visited Sergio Vieira de Mello Cultural Facility, in which there are the exhibitions on "Rondon, the Marshal of the Peace", "Sport, Development and Peace" and "Peace Missions".
