CCOPAB Team carries out reconnaissance in Marabá/PA
On February 24, the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB – acronym in Portuguese) sent a group of 13 military personnel to carry out the first reconnaissance in the region of Marabá – Pará, where the 20th Contingent of the Brazilian Battalion (BRABAT-20) is located. This is also where the Advanced Field Exercise (EAOP – acronym in Portuguese) of this same contingent will happen from April 28 to May 2.
On February 26, having the presence of the 23rd Jungle Infantry Brigade Commander, Major General Estevam Cals Theophilo Gaspar de Oliveira, and BRABAT-20 military personnel, CCOPAB team presented to the representatives of the municipal administration, of public security, academics and local press, an overview of EAOP, highlighting the importance of everyone's support to the execution of the exercise, as well as, opening up a channel of communication among the ones involved.
