CCOPAB Instructor takes part in a course at ENOPU
Since November 4, Major Herbert, instructor of the Contingent Section of the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB), has been taking part in the Pre-Deployment Military Experts on Mission Course at Escuela Nacional de Operaciones de Paz del Uruguay (ENOPU – the Peacekeeping Operations Center in Uruguay).
The aim of the course, which lasts four weeks, is to enable uruguayan and friendly nation officers to carry out peace missions under the aegis of the UN. Moreover, it prepares them for other missions whose objective is to avoid conflicts, such as the mission in Sinai (Uruguay has been participating in the Multinational Force and Observers since 1982. This mission is outside the framework of the UN).
