Sixth day of the Course for Subunit and Platoon Commanders (EPCSUPEL) 2013/02

On August 19, the sixth day of Course for Subunit and Platoon Commanders (EPCSUPEL) of the 19th Brazilian Contingent in Haiti (19º CONTBRAS), the first morning instructions were presented by 1st LT De Souza, who talked about "On foot, Mechanized and Motorized Patrols" and "Check Points". After those instructions, the military personnel from BRABAT 19 attended instructions regarding "The Use of Sharpshooters" by Captain Guina, "The Use of Task Force and Convoy Escort" by 1st LT Lira and "Cordon, Search and Sweep Operations" by Captain Zuma. In the meantime, those military personnel from BRAENGCOY 19 attended the instructions by Major Serejo regarding "Working with NGOs"; after those instructions, they participated in a videoconference conducted by 1st LT Valdetaro.
In the afternoon, all the apprentices had instructions and demonstrations concerning "Crowd Control Operations" and "Non-military personnel's Security and Protection" by Captain Giuseppe and Lieutenant Barros, both from the 1st Guard Battalion. After that, the military personnel from BRABAT 19 had the "Study Case – Cordon Operation", conducted by Captain Zuma.
