Fifth day of the Course for Subunit and Platoon Commanders (EPCSUPEL) 2013/02

On August 16, the fifth day of the Course for Subunit and Platoon Commanders (EPCSUPEL) of the 19th Brazilian Contingent in Haiti (19º CONTBRAS), the apprentices were presented their first instructions regarding "The Use of Interpreters", by Captain Israel.
Later on, the apprentices were divided into two groups, one of which made up by those military personnel who are part of BRABAT 19. They attended the instructions by Lieutenant Commander (Marines) Navi concerning "Report Composition". After that, 1st LT Valdetaro talked about the CPTM - Core Pre-deployment Training Material concerning the topics "How UN's Peacekeeping Operations
Work" and "Civil-Military Coordination in Peacekeeping Operations". After these instructions, 1st LT De Souza dealt with "Search Operation", and Captain Zuma talked about "Strong Point Occupation and Static Security Post".
The other group of apprentices made up by military personnel who are part of BRAENGCOY 19 attended instructions concerning the daily activities by BRAENGCOY taught by Captain Crispim; after that, the group attended lectures by 1st LT Valdetaro regarding the same topics he had taught BRABAT 19.
In the beginning of the afternoon, there was the closing ceremony of the course for those military personnel who are part of the Support and Command Company. The commander of the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center Colonel Baganha handed out the certificates for the apprentices concluding the course.
