CCOPAB carries out Peace Missions Training Instructions for Brazilian Air Force

Manaus - From April 25 to 29, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) deployed, a Mobile Training Team (MTT), made up of Air Force and Army instructors in order to carry out Training Instructions for a Brazilian Air Force Infantry Platoon that is participating in ARCANJO Technical Exercise. The platoon members were from the following units: Manaus Security and Defense Group, which is located at Manaus Air Base; Porto Velho Security and Defense Group, at Porto Velho Air Base; and Boa Vista Security and Defense Group, at Boa Vista Air Base.

In order to fullfil the training, the following instructions related to the United Nations Doctrine, which can be found in the Core Pre-Deployment Training Materials (CPTM), were given: UN Structure, Human Rights, Protection of Civilians, Child Protection, Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (SEA), Women, Peace and Security Agenda, First Aid, Environment, among other subjects.

The training instructions are complementary to the Training of Infantry Troops for Peace Missions, organized by the Air Force, and provide knowledge to the Infantry Platoon members, to participate in UN Peacekeeping Operations, integrating the Brazilian Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion, which is available in the United Nations Peacekeeping Capabilities Readiness System (UNPCRS).
