CCOPAB welcomes the delegation from the Mexican National Defense College
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On 2 June 2021, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center – Sergio Vieira de Mello Center - welcomed a delegation from the Mexican National Defense College (CDN, acronym in Spanish), headed by its Director - Lieutenant General Armando GÓMEZ Mendoza.
The delegation was welcomed by Major General Alexandre Oliveira CANTANHEDE Lago, Director of Military Technical Education and by CCOPAB Commander, Colonel Márcio Carneiro BARBOSA.
Among other activities, there was an institutional lecture on the Brazilian participation in United Nations Peacekeeping Operations and on the educational activities carried out by Sergio Vieira de Mello Center in 2021. Also as it was scheduled, the delegation got to know the main facilities used by CCOPAB during the teaching-learning process.
CDN, a high-level military educational institution, has the mission to prepare military and civilian personnel in the fields of national security and defense. The Mexican delegation consisted of twenty-four members of the Navy, Army, Air Force as well as civilian students.
At the end of the activity, Lieutenant General GÓMEZ signed CCOPAB’s Book of Honor, culminating with the farewells of the Director of Military Technical Education and of officers from CCOPAB.
