CCOPAB takes part in the activity from the Latin American Association of Peacekeeping Training Centers (ALCOPAZ)

Rio de Janeiro, RJ. On 27 May 2021, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) - Sergio Vieira de Mello Center, a Brazilian Army Educational Organization, supervised by the Department of Military Technical Education, took part in ALCOPAZ Coordination Meeting III, via VTC.

Among other issues, it is important to highlight the presentation of a member of the UN Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) on the following topic: “Safety and Security of UN personnel in PKOs.”

Commanders, directors and chiefs of Training Centers from the following countries participated in the activity: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay, which is currently holding the Pro-tempore presidency of ALCOPAZ.

Apart from CCOPAB Commander, MAJ Christiane Lima (instructor) and SG Castro (monitor) also attended the meeting.

Sergio Vieira de Mello Center has been a full member of ALCOPAZ since 2007.
