CCOPAB contributes towards the preparation of the 11th Contingent of the Humanitarian and Logistic Task Force (ACOLHIDA Operation)

Sapucaia do Sul (RS). From 22 to 25 November, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center - Sergio Vieira de Mello Center - sent a Mobile Training Team (MTT) to the Garrison of Sapucaia do Sul (RS), in order to contribute towards the preparation of the 11th Contingent of the Humanitarian and Logistic Task Force (ACOLHIDA Operation).

From 15 to 19 March 2021, an area recce was carried out in Manaus, Boa Vista and Pacaraima in order to visit the main cells and facilities in charge of borderline first assistance, sheltering and interiorization, as well as to provide the MTT with the most updated situation awareness before the PDT of the Humanitarian and Logistic Task Force took place.

At the facilities of the 18 Mtz Inf Bn (Passos da Pátria Bn), CCOPAB instructors and monitors, by means of constructive simulations, provided members of the Southern Military Command with situations and aspects related to the roles and functions to be performed in ACOLHIDA Operation, especially when it comes to screening, sheltering and interiorization.

The MTT was composed of instructors and monitors from the Division of Education and Training of Sergio Vieira de Mello Center. Nearly 511 soldiers from the Southern Military Command (CMS, acronym in Portuguese) took part in the training.
