CCOPAB delivers instruction on C-34
Rio de Janeiro, RJ - On 07 July, MAJ (Air Force Pilot) Henrique Santos, Chief of the Doctrine Division at the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center, delivered a lecture for the members of CCOPAB on the 2020 latest session of the United Nations Special Committee on Peacekeeping, known as C-34, regarding PKO progress review and proposals.
C-34 was created by GA Res 2006, on 18 February 1965, to conduct a review of all issues relating to Peacekeeping Operations. The product of C-34 supports UN doctrine and provides recommendations on UN PKOs. Working under the Fourth Committee of the General Assembly, it is the official meeting in which Member States discuss UN PKO related topics.
Thus, regarding 2020 latest report, monitor and instructors from CCOPAB received updated recommendations from the Committee in relation to A4P and other peacekeeping challenges, as well as current doctrinal preparation.
