CCOPAB welcomes MG Basto, Director of Military Technical Education

Rio de Janeiro, RJ. On 30 April, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), Sergio Vieira de Mello Center, welcomed MG Luís Cláudio de Matos Basto, Director of Military Technical Education (DETMIL, acronym in Portuguese). This first visit (VSE, acronym in Portuguese) was part of the Educational Supervision Program of 2020. After military honors, CCOPAB officers officially saluted MG Basto at the Hall of former commanders; next, CCOPAB commander delivered a lecture on the mission, history and capabilities of the military unit directly subordinate to DETMIL.

MG Basto could visit the facilities of the Center as the Language Lab, check on a UN MILOB VTC class and see an exhibition of materiel used in the Mine Action course.

At the end of the activity, MG Basto signed CCOPAB book of honors and was again saluted by officers of the Joint Center as he left.
