CCOPAB supports the preparation of Brazilian Military Police for Peace Mission

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - From December 07 to 13, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese), – Sergio Vieira de Mello Center –, coordinated the implementation of assessments for voluntary military police for the United Nations Peace Missions. Interviews, Computer Skills, Vehicle, Driving Skills and Shooting, Proficiency English and French tests were conducted.

Fifty-four police officers from the following states were evaluated: Amazonas, Bahia, Ceará, Distrito Federal, Espírito Santo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. At the end, thirty police officers obtained approval in all phases of the selection, nine of them from the female segment.

With this result, those approved are in a position to be summoned to the Peacekeeping Operations in operation in different countries, in order to compose the police component of these missions.

The evaluation was accompanied by the General Inspectorate of Military Police. The support was provided by the School of Logistics Sergeants (lodging and meals), as well as the 11th Army Police Battalion (support in vehicles) and the Training and Improvement Centre of Squares (firing stand), which was fundamental to the success of the event.
