CCOPAB takes part in the preparation of Uruguayan Battalion
Montevidéu (URU) – From 24 March to 06 April 2019, Captain Wander, from the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese), Sergio Vieira de Mello Center, took part as an observer in the final task of the preparation of the Uruguayan Battalion for UN Stabilization Mission of Congo (MONUSCO), which took place in Montevideo, Uruguay.
In order to get the Uruguayan military personnel familiarized with risky situations that might occur throughout the mission, the following activities were put into practice: day and night orientation exercises; demining; check point; negotiation and mediation during mechanized patrolling; French language; first aid in the area of armed conflict.
The participation of the military member from CCOPAB aimed at being updated with the knowledge on the preparation of contingents for UN PKOs, collaborating with professional qualification of the instructors from CCOPAB.
