CCOPAB carries out Commander and Staff Course for UNIFIL Maritime Task Force
Rio de Janeiro – Between July 09 and 13, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) carried out one more edition of the Commander and Staff Course for the Maritime Task Force of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL/MTF).
The course counted on the presence of eight Brazilian Navy personnel, officers and non-commissioned officers. The aim of the course was to train the attendees to be deployed overseas by means of the Core Pre-Deployment Training Materials (CPTM).
Besides the participation of CCOPAB’s instructors, the course had the support of the following guest instructors: Navy Captain Alexandre Amendoeira Nunes, Air Force Colonel Antônio Luiz Godoy Soares Mioni Rodrigues, and Navy Commander Josué Fonseca Teixeira Junior. The last two officers delivered their lecture by videoconference as they are members of the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the United Nations, in New York.
