The 26th Brazilian Contingent for the Stabilization Mission in Haiti starts preparation for 2017

The 26th Brazilian Contingent of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti, which is supposed to be deployed in the first semester of 2017, started the preparation with the course for Unit Commanders and Joint Staff Course (EPCOEM). The training, which is held by the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), aims to develop the important skills regarding the mission that commanders and staff will engage in Haiti under the aegis of the UN, such as: thoroughness, flexibility, responsibility and decision-making. The first phase of EPCOEM was held from 25 to 27 of January, when CCOPAB commander and the staff officers headed to Brasília, in order to convey the content of the UN Core Pre-deployment Training Materials – CPTM.
