Exhibition: A man called Rondon

expo_rondon01 From August 12 to September 10, 2010, CCOPAB hosted the exhibition called “A Man Called Rondon”.

The exhibition showed the truly epical story lived by Cândido Mariano da Silva Rondon, a great Brazilian hero who is the legitimate predecessor of the present UN´s peacekeeping missions for his life-long dedication to peacemaking.

Over 2,000 people, including approximately 30 school committees visited the exhibition about Rondon. The activity still counted on the illustrious presence of Mr. MG Paulo Humberto César de Oliveira, Director of the Department of Teaching and Cooperation of the Ministry of Defence and of Mr COL Ângelo Luís Tomé de Senna, Commander of the Center of Evaluation and Training of the Brazilian Army.

The exhibition was the result of the partnership between CCOPAB and the group Memória Civelli, with the sponsorship of Oi (telecommunication provider) and of the Law of Incentivation to Culture of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
