Visit of the Honorable Minister of Defense Nelson Azevedo Jobim to the Peacekeeping Operations Training Center
On January 16, the Honorable Minister of Defense Nelson Azevedo Jobim accompanied by General Enzo Martins Peri visited the Peacekeeping Operations Training Center’s Commander (CI Op Paz), Colonel Pedro Aurélio de Pessôa, and the other members. And they were lectured on the work carried out by the unit.
During his visit to CI Op Paz, the Honorable Minister Jobim could understand better the activities developed by the Center, its mission, its structure and its vision of the future. At this opportunity, solutions that can optimize the preparation of the Brazilian Military Personnel for peacekeeping operations were discussed, as well as the integration of efforts to solve the current challenges.
General Rui Alves Catão, Commander of the Eastern Military Command, Lieutenant General Jorge Armando de Almeida Ribeiro, Chief of the 1st Military Region (RJ), Lieutenant General Marco Antônio de Farias, the Army 1st Division Commander, Major General Cesar Leme Justo, the 9th Motorized Infantry Brigade Commander (RJ) were also present at the Peacekeeping Operations Training Center during the visit.
