Certificate of Completion of Training for Peace Mission

The Certificate of Completion of Training of Contingents for Peace Missions is a goal aimed by the UN since the Resolution of the General Assembly in 1995, which guided the Member States to evaluate and certify the troops to be deployed to a peacekeeping operation, according to the training modules released by the United Nations.

In Brazil, this certification is carried out by the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese), Brazilian Army's military organization linked to the Ministry of Defense, whose mission is to support the preparation of Brazilian and friendly nation military, police and civilian personnel for peace missions and humanitarian demining.

On October 23, 2015, CCOPAB certified the 23rd Brazilian Battalion (BRABAT) which will be part of the Brazilian Contingent of the United Nations Mission for Stabilization in Haiti in the following month. This certification guarantees that the Brazilian Battalion has accomplished all the training phases for a UN peace mission, and was assessed in the main tasks that it will carry out in Haiti, under the perspective of the concepts and curricula of the training established by the UN.

The charts below present the average of the high performance of the fractions and Staff Cells of the 23rd BRABAT, which ended with its certification at the end of the preparation.
