As part of the activities scheduled for the PKO Advanced Drills (EAOP), on October 28 BRAENGCOY had an overnight simulated exercise aiming at training the troops for situations of natural disasters and their consequences.
BRAENGCOY executed the emergency procedures needed for medical assistance, transportation of casualties and rescue of the population in isolated areas.
On October 28, the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center carried on with the simulations in Natal/RN. The 19th Contingent of the Engineering Company – Haiti was called by the Direction of the Exercise (DIREx) to welcome journalists arriving at the airport of Port-au-Prince, to remodel a public school and to transport potable water to a given place.
On October 27, the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center carried on with the simulations in Natal/RN. The 19th Contingent of the Engineering Company – Haiti was called by the Direction of the Exercise (DIREx) to unblock a road in Parnamirim and carry out a checkpoint in Nova Descoberta in which there was a funeral procession and vehicle search.
As the first activity of the Advanced Exercises for Peacekeeping Operations (EAOP) for BRABAT – 19th Contingent, a meeting took place on October 26 for the adaptation of the military personnel who will support the exercise as Observers, Controllers and Assessors (OCAs).
On October 27, there was another meeting for the adaptation to EAOP of the officers and sergeants who compose BRABAT – 19th Contingent; the meeting was held at the auditorium of the Preparatory School of Brazilian Army Cadets (EsPCEx).
The Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB) started at 19:00h on October 25 the simulated exercise in the city of Natal/RN. The 19th Contingent of BRAENGCOY–Haiti has been under assessment by the Exercise Direction (DIREx) through several practical activities, among which are hosting foreign visitors and unblocking roads and streets.
