Third day of the Course for Military Translators and Interpreters (ETIMil)
On August 7, the apprentices of the Course for Military Translators and Interpreters (ETIMil) of the 19th Brazilian Battalion (BRABAT) and the 19th Brazilian Engineering Company (BRAENCOY) participated in several workshops throughout their class hours.
In the morning, the French language appointees participated in the following activities: Technical Translation and a Lecture on "Peculiarities of the local language of the mission (Crèole)", by Captain Vilas Boas; and a Workshop on Note Taking Techniques, by Captain Israel. In the afternoon, the Workshops were about "Consecutive Interpretation" e "Simultaneous Interpretation", by Captin Béraud.
The English language appointees participated in the following activities: "Workshops on Portuguese-to-English Translations" by Major Ivana Mara and Captain Ana Cardoso; "Workshop on Note Taking Techniques", by Captain Israel; "Workshop on Consecutive Interpretation", by Captain Ana Cardoso; and "Workshop on Simultaneous Interpretation", by Lieutenant Colonel Carla Beatriz.
