CCOPAB participates in the course of the UN Department of Safety and Security in Brazil
The Brazilian office of the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) carried out the Safe and Secure Approaches in Field Environments Course (SSAFE) in partnership with the Brazilian Peace Operation Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese). The course took place in the facilities of Itamaraty Palace and of CCOPAB from 29 November to 01 December.
Brazilian military personnel in preparation for positions at the UN
CCOPAB carried out the DPKO Recruitment and Preparation Course (EPEC DPKO, acronym in Portuguese) from 29 November to 01 December. The aim of the course is to train the Brazilian military personnel to run for office in the Department of Peacekeeping Operations.
CCOPAB trains military personnel for UN Peace Missions
Between 31 October and 25 November, CCOPAB carried out the Military Experts on Mission Course (EPMP, acronym in Portuguese). It trains the military personnel who were assigned to UN Peacekeeping Operations to perform as Staff Officers or Military Observers.
CCOPAB participates in the 5th Female Military Officers Course in Kenya
Nairobi (Kenya) – From 28 November to 09 December, the Chief of the Division of Translators and Interpreters of CCOPAB, Major CHRISTIANE LIMA, will be participating in the 5th Female Military Officers Course (FMOC), organized by UN Women, in cooperation with the Kenyan International Peace Support Training Center (KIPSTC).
CCOPAB participates in Pilot Course on CPTM in Egypt
Cairo (Egypt) - From 9-19 October, MAJ IGOR (Brazilian Air Force) participated in the United Nations Training of Trainers (ToT) Course on Core Pre-deployment Training Materials (CPTM). He is the chief of the Individual Missions' Section of the Education and Training Division of CCOPAB.
CCOPAB promotes International Workshop of High-Level Panel on Peacekeeping Operations
The Peacekeeping operations are a sum of efforts of the international community to solve conflicts pacifically. Therefore, there was an International Workshop of High-Level Panel on the United Nations Peacekeeping Operations on 8 and 9 November. The event was held in the Land Operations Command (COTER, acronym in Portuguese) and had the participation of representatives from the following countries: Argentina, Canada, Colombia, the United States, France, Norway, United Kingdom, Sweden and Uruguay.
