CCOPAB ends international training in UN Civil-Military Coordination
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - On 30 June 2023, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) completed another editions of the UN Civil-Military Coordination Course (CIMIC), aiming at preparing military, police and civilian personnel to hold positions related to the UN System of Civil Affairs.
The course, entirely offered in English, was divided into two phases: in the first two weeks, on e-learning basis, students familiarized themselves with the Core Pre-deployment Training Material (CPTM); and in the third week, at the facilities of CCOPAB, students studied topics of the Specialized Training Materials (STM) for CIMIC.
On the morning of 30 June, CCOPAB carried out the course closing ceremony, in which certificates of completion were delivered to the 34 students who attended the course: eight from the Brazilian Army, six from the Brazilian Navy, three from the Brazilian Air Force, eight from State Police Departments (Ceará, Federal District, Goiás, Rio de Janeiro and Santa Catarina), five Civilians, and four military personnel from Guyana and Namibia.
