REBRAPAZ assists the International Training Course on UN Civil-Military Coordination at CCOPAB

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On 28 June 2023, the third day of the UN Civil-Military Coordination Course (UN CIMIC) of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) relied on the presence of Dr. EDUARDA HAMANN, General Coordinator of the Brazilian Reserach Network on Peace Operations (REBRAPAZ).

On the occasion, Dr. EDUARDA delivered two lectures: the first one, an institutional presentation on REBRAPAZ and its contributions to the development and strengthening of capacities of Brazil, regarding United Nations (UN) Peacekeeping Operations. For her second presentation, the professor shared her vast experience in the area of civil-military coordination, highlighting her work in the organization Viva Rio, in Haiti.

Developed entirely in English, the UN Civil-Military Coordination Course will continue until 30 June 2023, having 34 students from the following institutions: eight from the Brazilian Army, six from the Brazilian Navy, three from the Brazilian Air Force, eight from State Police Departments (Ceará, Federal District, Goiás, Rio de Janeiro and Santa Catarina), five Civilians, and four military personnel from Guyana and Namibia.
