CCOPAB starts the last phase of the 2022.2 UNSO, UNMO, and UNPOL courses

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On 24 October 2022, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), started the last phase of the UNSO, UNMO, and UNPOL courses (EPMP, acronym in Portuguese), aiming to prepare military and police personnel, either from Brazil or from friendly nations, to work as Staff Officers, Military Observers and Individual Police Officers, when deployed to Peacekeeping Operations under the aegis of the United Nations (UN).

Lasting for three weeks, the last phase of the courses relied upon the collaboration of two guest instructors from friendly nations - Lieutenant Colonel HERRMANN from Germany and Captain COTE from Canada. They were two officers with notorious expertise in training for peacekeeping missions, significantly contributing to the courses.

The beginning of this phase was marked by the presence of Colonel (Ret.) ÁTILA, from the Deputy Head Office of International Operations of the Ministry of Defense (MoD), Colonel BERNARDO, Head of the Peace Mission Division of the Land Operations Command (COTER), and Colonel SCHMITZ, from the Army Commander’s Office. Moreover, there was the introduction of Major FRIEDRICH, a German student, enrolled for this last phase.
