CCOPAB carries out a recce in the context of the United Nations Peacekeeping Capability Readiness System

São Gabriel (RS). From 22 to 26 March and from 24 to 28 May 2021, instructors and monitors from the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center - Sergio Vieira de Mello Center - a Brazilian Army Educational Organization, supervised by the Department of Military Technical Education, carried out a reconnaissance in the city of São Gabriel, headquarters of the 6 Combat Engineering Battalion - Home of the Brave Bn - part of the 4 Engineering Group (4 Eng Group).

Complying with COTER and DEC Training Directives, the recces will make it possible to complete the planning phase regarding the preparation of the PKF Eng Coy available to the United Nations Peacekeeping Capability Readiness System/ UNPCRS.

Besides, the planned activities will provide better conditions to carry out, in 2021, the UN Pre-Deployment Advanced Field Exercise (EAOP) for the PKF Eng Coy, the time period in which the UN DPO is to have the Assessment and Advisory Visit (AAV), aiming to classify the Eng Coy as UNPCRS Level II.
