CCOPAB Handover Ceremony
Rio de Janeiro, (RJ) - On 12 February, in a ceremony conducted by General Rolemberg Ferreira da Cunha, Sub-Chief of Joint Chief of Staff Officer from Armed Forces, a Handover Ceremony was carried out at the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) – Sergio Vieira de Mello Center. On the occasion, CPT (Navy) Elder Vaz, CCOPAB Interim Commander, handed over the position of CCOPAB Commander to Engineering COL Márcio Carneiro Barbosa.
Rear Admiral Upper Half Renato Rangel Ferreira (Commander of Almirante Sylvio de Camargo Center), GEN Luís Cláudio de Mattos Basto (Director of Military Technical Education), GEN Marco Antônio Estevão Machado (School Unit Commander / 9th Motorized Infantry Brigade) and GEN Walter Nilton Pina Stoffel (Army Department of Education and Culture Special Advisor) were present.
Family members from both Commanders, Commanders of Military Organizations from Rio de Janeiro, members of the Brazilian Navy and the Brazilian Air Force attended the event, confirming the motto of the Peace Soldier House: "INTEGRATION!
