Parade of the first Firefighters in the Course for Peacekeeping Operations

This Wednesday, October 21, 2010, in the Noble Hall of the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center, the parade for the completion of the Course for Peacekeeping Operations by the first four fire fighters selected for a UN Peace Mission took place.

During the ceremony, which was headed by Colonel Pedro Aurélio de Pessôa, CCOPAB Commander, Certificates of Completion were given to LTC Paulo André da Silva Barroso, to LTC William Augusto Ferreira Bomfim, to Capt Marco Antonio Basques Sobrinho and to 1st LT Celso dos Santos Piquet Júnior.

LTC Barroso spoke on behalf of the students, emphasizing the importance of the mission to which they were being prepared. And highlighted the motto of the firefighters: “Alienam vitam et bona salvare”, which means “Saving the lives of others and wealth”.
