On December 02, 2010, the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center had the privilege to host the ceremony in honor of Admiral Álvaro Augusto Monteiro Dias who was retiring from active duty.
General José Elito Siqueira, Chief of the Defense Staff, and an illustrious delegation composed of generals and senior officers from the Brazilian Navy were present at the ceremony.
Major AMILTON FERNANDO BARBOSA MOLETA, from the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center, participated as an instructor, from October 10 to November 11, 2010, in the Military Observers Course (MILOB) in the “PEACE SUPPORT TRAINING CENTRE - PSTC” in Kingston, Ontario – Canada.
From November 08 to 12, 2010, Warrant Officer Sérgio Xavier da Silva, assistant to the Technical Teaching Section, took the Instructor Course on UN Operating Techniques and Core Pre-Deployment Training Modules (CPTM), at the Argentinean Joint Peace Operations Training Center (CAECOPAZ), in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
On October 29, 2010, the Course for Peacekeeping Operations 2010/2 ended with a ceremony in the Noble Hall of CCOPAB.
The closing ceremony of the Course was brightened by the presence of Colonel Michael Bringmann, Chief of the Military Division of the German Embassy, relatives of the students and military personnel from other units.
From October 2 to 22, in the city of Cobán, in Guatemala, Capt Derré, Planning Officer from CCOPAB, attended the UN Planning for Integrated Missions (PIM).
The course was conducted in English by the Pearson Peacekeeper Centre in partnership with the Regional Command of Peacekeeping Operations Training in Guatemala (CREOPMAZ).
On November 3, 2010, the Symposium of Civil-Military Cooperation in Peacekeeping Operations started at CCOPAB with the presence of military personnel and civilians focusing on the following theme “Civil-Military Cooperation Activities (CIMIC) as a result of natural disasters”.
