Another EPCOEM was successfully concluded at CI Op Paz

Adaptability, persistence, decision, emotional balance and teamwork are, among others, qualities shown by the military personnel that accomplished, from 1 to 4 March, 2010, at the Peacekeeping Operations Training Center, the Unit Commander and Joint Staff Training for Peacekeeping Missions (EPCOEM 10/1) of the Haiti Battalion (BRABATT I -13) and of the Peacekeeping Engineering Company (BRAENGCOY 11).

To act in the operational environment of MINUSTAH, the officers of the Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion and Peacekeeping Engineering Company received instructions about the UN System, Communication and Negotiation, Logistics in Peacekeeping Missions, Stress Management, Cultural Awareness, First Aid, among others. During these four days of intense activities, they had the opportunity to interact and exchange experiences with officers who have recently come back from the peacekeeping mission in Haiti. The activities of the Brazilian units carried out after the earthquake of January 12 received special attention.

Out of the 45 (forty-five) who participated in the military training, 37 (thirty-seven) were from the Brazilian Army, 07 (seven) from the Brazilian Navy and 01 (one) from the Brazilian Air Force.
