CCOPAB begins female military and police officers training for peacekeeping missions.

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On November 20, 2023, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) began another edition of the Sectoral Course for Specific Preparation of Female Military Personnel for Peace Operations (EPESFOP), with the aim of training 16 future blue helmets, nine from the Brazilian Army and seven from the State Police of Rio Grande do Sul and Tocantins.

This edition of EPESFOP, scheduled to take place until December 1st, seeks to complement students' specific knowledge, in order to better enable them to participate in complex peace operations, requiring them, in a practical way, to control emotional and resistance to fatigue in adverse situations, among other skills.

It is noteworthy that the success of the training is only achieved due to the invaluable support of several Military Organizations of the Rio de Janeiro Garrison, such as the Army Center for Applied Psychology (CPAEx), which provides support in the psychological preparation of students; from the School of Specialized Instruction (EsIE), supporting Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense activities; in addition to the exchange of experiences provided by the participation, as speakers, of Dr. EDUARDA HAMMAN, General Coordinator of the Brazilian Network on Peace Operations (REBRAPAZ ), and Major GABRIELA, from the Eastern Military Command (CML), who served as Sector Reporting Officer for the Standing Ceasefire Committee of the United Nations Integrated Transition Assistance Mission in Sudan (UNITAMS).
