CCOPAB carries out UN Logistics and Reimbursement Course

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - From 16 to 20 November, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center - Sergio Vieira de Mello Center - delivered the UN Logistics and Reimbursement Course in order to prepare human resources to work in the logistics and reimbursement management inside UN PKOs.

The course was divided into two phases: the first was a two-week e-learning phase and the second was a one-week on-site phase at CCOPAB.

Thirty-two students attended this course edition: 03 from the MoD, 23 from the Army, 03 from the Air Force, 02 from Rio de Janeiro State Police and 01 foreign officer from Portugal. It is important to highlight the participation of the following guest instructors: COL (Ret.) Rolant Vieira Jr, from the International Affairs Office in the Army General Staff (EME, acronym in Portuguese); LTC Adriano Alves, from the Army Aviation Logistics Dept (DMAvEx, acronym in Portuguese); and CDR Tarciso Abranges, from the Navy Command.

During the on-site phase, students had the chance to visit the Field Hospital of the Army Logistics Support Base and the Air Force Transport and Logistic Center.
