Handover Ceremony at the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center
Vila Militar (RJ) – On 12 December, in a ceremony that was headed by LT GEN Vinícius Ferreira Martinelli, Director of Military Technical Education, the handover ceremony took place at the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) – Sergio Vieira de Mello Center.
On that occasion, MAJ GEN Marco Antonio Estevão Machado handed over the command of the CCOPAB to CAPT (Navy) Elder Vaz, who is the interim commander until COL Marcio Carneiro Barbosa arrives.
The solemnity began with the inauguration of General Machado's portrait in the Gallery of the former Commanders. There was also the delivery of the Insignia.
After the ceremony, there was a fraternization lunch and the event was closed with the greetings of the troops to MAJ GEN Machado, on the occasion of his farewell.
