CCOPAB takes part in Humanitarian Task Force in Roraima
Osasco (SP) – From 31 March to 12 April, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center – Sergio Vieira de Mello Center – took part in the preparation of the 5th Humanitarian Logistics Task Force in Roraima – Bandeirantes Contingent, which will get into action at Acolhida Operation. This activity took place in the facilities of the 4th light Infantry Battalion in Osasco, São Paulo.
CCOPAB members took part in the following activities: instruction, workshops with simulations of shelter management routines in Boa Vista and Pacaraima, screening stations and also activities regarding the arrival of the Venezuelans who are in need of social help in cities that are receiving them.
Nearly 500 military members, who took part in the activities as students, are part of the Bandeirantes Contingent, which consists of military members serving at the Southeast Military Command (CMSE, acronym in Portuguese). 45 students of International Relations from Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV, acronym in Portuguese), from São Paulo, took part in the role play.
The mobile training team from CCOPAB consisted of the following military personnel: LTC Francisco Augusto, LTC Ramirez, LCDR (Navy) Tierce, LCDR (Navy) Bruno Luís, CPT Lucas, CPT Henrique, PRI (Navy) Novaes, PRI (ARG) Zuccolo, 1SG Orlando, 1SG (Navy) Mamede, 1SG (Navy) Rocha, 1SG Alan, 2SG Casale, 2SG Prata, 3SG Jaceline, CORP Lopes and PVT Bruno.
Bandeirantes Contingent, which will take part in Acolhida Operations after the middle of April, is going to carry out the following activities: to organize the board; to give shelter to helpless people and to carry out the reception of immigrants.
