CCOPAB carries out Five-day Training Instructions for Military Experts on Mission

Rio de Janeiro, RJ- From 18 to 22 of February, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) carried out training instructions for Military Experts on Mission. The activity aimed at developing and enhancing the necessary skills for military and police personnel, who were designated to take part in United Nations Peace Operations as Staff Officers and as UN Police. This training is different from the Military Experts on Mission Course since it lasts only five days, as the attendees are designated to be deployed on short notice.

Amongst the aims of the training, it is worth to highlight the following topics: the Core Pre-deployment Training Materials (CPTM); and the Specialized Training Materials (STM) for Staff Officers, which are integrated with the contents of CPTM by means of integrated planning exercises. This five-day Training was entirely held in English and had four senior officers from the Brazilian Army and five police officers, out of which three from the Brazilian Federal District, one from Rio de Janeiro State and another from São Paulo.
