CCOPAB participates in the preparation of the 4th Humanitarian and Logistics Task Force Contingent

Captain Wander Wallace Dias Ferreira Cruz, instructor of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese), delivered instructions for the 4th Humanitarian and Logistics Task Force Contingent in Boa Vista, Roraima. He presented the attendees CCOPAB’s overarching mission, the characteristics of Humanitarian Aid Operations, some notions of CIMIC, besides going over gender issues, such as: values and competences, conduct and discipline and Preventive Measures against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA).

The goal was to prepare the 4th Humanitarian and Logistics Task Force Contingent in order to support the immigrants who seek asylum in Brazil coming from Venezuela. The 540 troops, 240 from the Western Military Command and 300 from Planalto Military Command, will remain in Boa Vista and Pacaraima for about 90 days, being part of the humanitarian aid operation, which is a joint operation comprising different agencies.
