UK Defense Attaché’s assistant visits CCOPAB
On January 24, Lieutenant Colonel Ayres, Deputy Commander of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese), along with 1st Sergeant L. Batista, received 1st Sergeant Neil Herft, assistant of the British Defense Attaché in Brazil.
Following the visitor’s arrival, Lieutenant Colonel Ayres delivered a presentation on CCOPAB’s overarching mission: prepare military, police and civilian personnel, from Brazil and Friendly Nations, for peace and humanitarian demining missions. Right after the presentation, Sergeant Neil visited the facilities of the Center as well as Haiti Memorial, which is a tribute to honor the fallen during 2010 earthquake, and Delta Camp. At the end of the visit, Sergeant Neil was given souvenirs from CCOPAB.
