CCOPAB participates in Annual Foreign Relations Conference
Rio de Janeiro- On November 14, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) was present at the Annual Foreign Relations Conference, also known as Model United Nations, which was held at the Brazilian Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine (IBMR, acronym in Portuguese). Lieutenant Commander (Marines) Álvaro Tadeu Ribeiro attended the opening ceremony of the event as a representative of CCOPAB. The conference counted on the presence of Mrs. Giulia Scortegagna, Administrative General Secretary and of Professor Leonardo Braga, Coordinator of Foreign Relations Course at IBMR.
The Conference has been organized by the Foreign Relations undergraduates since 2015, in a joint effort with the course coordination and the Rectory of the institution. The aim is at the promotion, integration and development of the students in negotiations. In this simulated exercise, the students play national and foreign actors in negotiations regarding a preset issue acting as diplomats, heads of states and governments.
