CCOPAB welcomes instructors and students from the United States Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC)
On 7 November, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) welcomed a delegation of USCGSC officers. The delegation was composed of LTC Antoine de Souza Cruz - Liaison Officer from the Brazilian Army Command and General Staff College (ECEME, acronym in Portuguese); MAJ James Harold Isakson (USA) - foreign instructor at ECEME; LTC Michael K. Goodwin - USCGSC instructor; MAJ Andrew Morgan - USCGSC student (Aviation); MAJ Steven Siclara - USCGSC student (Intelligence/Marine Corps); CPT Amanda Self - USCGSC (Military Police); CPT Laneka Van Borkulo - USCGSC student (Civil Affairs); CPT Dana Gingrich - USCGSC student (Infantry); and CPT Gabriel Wood - USCGSC student (Special Forces).
After being greeted by CCOPAB officers, the visitors had the opportunity to know the mission and the activities carried out by the Center, when attending a lecture delivered by COL Machado - CCOPAB Commander. Furthermore, the delegation could visit the facilities and watch a driving skills instruction in the training field, in which MEoM students are to adapt themselves to left-hand traffic and difficult terrains.
At the end of the visit, LTC Michael K. Goodwin - USCGSC instructor - signed CCOPAB’s book of honor and was granted an institutional souvenir.
