Integration - CCOPAB celebrates the Sailor's day and the Air Force Infantry day
Aiming to honor the integration of the Brazilian Armed Forces, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center celebrated the Sailor's day and the Air Force Infantry day on 13 December. CCOPAB’s members from the Brazilian Navy and the Brazilian Air Force received a souvenir for the date.
CCOPAB’s member is awarded in a competition of the Ministry of Defense
In order to stimulate academic studies and research in the field of Defense and National Security, the Ministry of Defense organized the National Competition of Theses and Dissertations VIIin 2016. Every two years, PhD theses and dissertations of master's degrees approved in programs in the field of Humanities, Applied Social Sciences and the like, which integrates the postgraduate evaluation system of the Coordination and Improvement of Higher Level or Education Personnel (CAPES, acronym in Portuguese).
CCOPAB carries out the Course to Train Civilians to Work in Unstable Environments
To prepare civilians that need to work in unstable environments due to their mission or special activities is the main goal of this course developed by CCOPAB in partnership with Igarapé Institute. About 25% of the countries that Brazil maintained technical cooperation in this century are considered fragile because of conflicts, according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OCDE, acronym in Portuguese) and the World Bank.
CCOPAB participates in the course of the UN Department of Safety and Security in Brazil
The Brazilian office of the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) carried out the Safe and Secure Approaches in Field Environments Course (SSAFE) in partnership with the Brazilian Peace Operation Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese). The course took place in the facilities of Itamaraty Palace and of CCOPAB from 29 November to 01 December.
Brazilian military personnel in preparation for positions at the UN
CCOPAB carried out the DPKO Recruitment and Preparation Course (EPEC DPKO, acronym in Portuguese) from 29 November to 01 December. The aim of the course is to train the Brazilian military personnel to run for office in the Department of Peacekeeping Operations.
CCOPAB trains military personnel for UN Peace Missions
Between 31 October and 25 November, CCOPAB carried out the Military Experts on Mission Course (EPMP, acronym in Portuguese). It trains the military personnel who were assigned to UN Peacekeeping Operations to perform as Staff Officers or Military Observers.
