CCOPAB celebrates the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers
On 30 May, there was a ceremony for the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers at the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB). The date, which is 29 May, is to pay tribute to all men and women, who served or still serve, in peace operations for their high level of professionalism, dedication and courage.
On this day, commanders of military units, former members of UN peace operations, members of the Association of Suez Battalion -RJ, military personnel who are taking the MTF/UNIFIL Commander and Staff Course and members of the Red Cross were present.
During the ceremony, CCOPAB Commander, Colonel Carlos Augusto Ramires Teixeira, read an official message from the Ministry of Defense for the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers. After that, a wreath of flowers was laid at the memorial to honor the ones who died in UN peace operations.
