CCOPAB starts the last phase of the 23rd Contingent of BRAENGCOY's preparation

Aquidauana (MS) - On October 25, in the auditorium of the 9th Combat Engineering Battalion, in Aquidauana - MS, there was the general guidelines for the UN Pre-Deployment Advanced Field Exercise (EAOP, acronym in Portuguese), led by the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) for the 23rd Contingent of BRAENGCOY.

The goal of the activity was to establish the procedures and actions during this week for the final phase of the centralized preparation of the military personnel who will go to Haiti in November. BRAENGCOY, which started its training in Aquidauana in the beginning of October, goes to Haiti with 120 military personnel, out of whom 3 are female.

During his presentation, Colonel Vendramin, CCOPAB Commander, said this is the moment to work the best practices, as close to reality as possible: "The goal of the exercise is to provide BRAENGCOY's members with conditions to carry out tasks given to a Unit that participates in a multidimensional peace force, with utmost efficiency."

For BRAENGCOY's Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Cardoso, this last phase of the preparation, EAOP, is fundamental to have the company ready for the challenges it will face in Haiti: "It is the highlight of the whole training, and, through the assessment carried out by CCOPAB, we have a general view of the company and the possible opportunities to improve."
