CCOPAB prepares Subunit Commanders and Platoon leaders for MINUSTAH

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - The Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) prepared, from 10 to 21 August, the officers who will be deployed in the UN Stabilization Mission in Haiti as Subunit Commanders and Platoon Leaders of the Brazilian Contingent (CONTBRAS) XXIII.

This preparation is carried out by means of the Subunit Commanders and Platoon Leaders Course (EPCOSUPEL), which is offered to captains and lieutenants designated to integrate CONTBRAS in MINUSTAH. During the course, the officers had theoretical classes about the UN Core Pre-deployment Training Material (CPTM), protection of civilians, genders, and many others. They also had practical classes as rules of engagement, shooting, combat techniques in urban environments, use of non-lethal weapons, and the like.
